Fort Niagara 250th Commemoration - July, 2009

The Rangers participated in the 250th commemoration of the taking of Fort Niagara by British & Colonial Forces.  This was also a "Grand Encampment of the Seven Years War" event.  Seven of us manned the 3# gun, Grendel, during the various battles.  Over the course of the three day event, we fired 140 rounds, or 35# of powder.  Not a single misfire in that time.  Photos below, with more to come as available.  Thanks to Dave Swinford and David Goodrich (British Artillery commander) for the photos.

Above is a YouTube hosted video of the first big battle of the weekend, recorded by a member of the Seven Year's War Association, shared with us by Stephanie (thank you!).  It gives an idea of just how big this event was.
