Trade Faire at Fort Loudon, September 6-7, 2008

His Majesty's First Troop had six combatants - five guns and drummer, along with our Camp follower, in attendance at Fort Loudon's Trade Faire event this year.  We were heavily involved in all the skirmishes, and had the opportunity to "make it hot" for the opposing forces as the advance guard in each demonstration.

A great time was had by all as the fort welcomed us with open arms -- and barracks doors -- allowing us to use the guard house as our home away from Savannah Town.  The weather was a challenge, but encouraged late afternoon swimming sessions to cool off.

The entire first troop who were present: (L-R) Wynne, some unknown highlander, Chris, Russell, Brent, Sam and Jacob wait in the shade like Frenchmen as they await the call to the afternoon skirmish on Sunday.
